flathead starter motor

Can anyone give me the weight of a 34 Ford 221 stud 6 V starter motor. I have tried to use google search, but it is like everything else, giving me 12 volt, model A 4-cylinder, late model you name it.:(

I just went out in the garage and weighed my 1949-53 239cubic in. V8 stock 6 volt starter motor just for you. It weighs 20 pounds.
As I recall that starter is standard design for all of Henry Ford's V-8s.

To make the 20 lb. installation of your starter a lot easier to install take a look at Photo #8 in the first post #1. Installing the little strip of metal to hold the starter end plate in place so starter won't come apart when installing it makes the job much easier. You will be glad you made this modification as it also makes storing the starter easier. And, don't forget the oil pan support bracket.
