Does anyone know if the corners of the rear springs, red primer, should be clipped, like the front spring? Also, should the 3rd and 4th leaves of the rear spring be the same length?

The shift to square ends on passenger car and commercial vehicle front and rear springs occurred as a running change early in the 1934 model year. No two leaves of a front or rear spring were originally the same length at least through the '34 model year.

You might think about a slight radius on the sliding edge-the leaves tend to dig into the under leaf., But not on a concourse judged spring. Newc
