1936 Deck lid / trunk handle
 

Can anyone tell me the shaft length from the escutcheon for an original 36 trunk handle. I tried adapting a 37 handle on my 36 Ford but the shaft is about 3/4" too short.

i had the same problem. had a friend weld a piece of 1/4" square bar to the end of the '37 shaft & cut threads on the end. it worked fine.
