1941 Woodie middle-seat feet/base question

1 Attachment(s)
Hi Everyone,
Ive started thinking about the middle/rear seat on my woodie. I don't have any original parts so am going to convert a bench seat I bought at a swap meet. Currently it has a mechanism to slide the bench forward/back, but that won't be necessary.

My questions are:
1. what do the seat supports/feet/base look like? Does anyone have a photo?
2. Which holes in the floor are used for seating? I seem to have loads!

(My car is a C11ADF, so I'm going for one back seat only, not two.)

Thank you.

Ed

I have a 41 woodie. Was out fitting the passenger rear fender today. Apparently the body work was done with fender off the car.

A few picks of 2nd seat. They attach with in-floor rear attachments. BTW the floor under my second seat is flat.

Don't know about a 41 but my 40 has 2 sets of holes for the middle seat, the narrow one, and if you take the narrow one out, you can move the rear wide one up and have an open cargo space behind the now wide center seat. The pictures of your floor are different then my 40, but I bet the rear seat can be moved up to be the center one.

It looks like you are missing the "clips" that the seat feat socket into.

Amazing, thank you! Once the seat frame parts fit into the holes, is there any kind of attachment, or does the weight of the seat keep everything in place? Thank you. Ed

Very interesting, thank you. It sounds like good seating arrangement flexibility. Mine would never have had a third seat, because of its military origins - that may explain the floor difference.

Thank you, do you have any pictures of those? When I got the car, there was no back seat, or any associated parts, so I don't know what they would have looked like.
