Wiring harness Upon installing new Model A wiring harness, purchased years ago, discovered harness short in length at stop light switch and short in length towards tail light locations. Plus cross over harness to right tail light short also. Anyone ever had this situation? I know I can splice and add length to correct the problem. Anyone else ?

Re: Wiring harness It's been a long time since I had to purchase a main light harness. Some models have slight differencs but they usually make them a bit long to cover stuff like this. The way the harnesses run in most models is basically the same and can be found in SBs and other Ford publications. The types of clips and locations are in that information.
Generally the type of light switch and light combinations are the only major differences. Tail light mounting can have an affect between early and late cars. The difference between the two different stop light switches may also have an affect since they are in different locations. |
Re: Wiring harness If your harness is for a transmission mounted stop light switch and yours is frame mounted then the wires will be to short. Do you have the correct 24" pigtail on your tail light?
