Model B water pumps

I thought there were reproductions being made but no one seems to know anything about them. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. Anyone know why the reproductions stopped and if they are going to start up again?

It has been a couple of years and I don't need one but I seem to remember the reproductions were junk. Find an original and have it rebuilt. Remember the '32 was longer and the '33-'34 were shorter.

I came across 2 of the recent reproductions in the not so distant past and each one had a casting flaw. Those repros were just junk. It is good advice to find an original casting.

We gotta remember, at some point in time, much of the stuff we're used to being available will not be available. In the case of B water pumps, there already is a small pool of need for them. They only fit one year and they only fit the B head. Many folks with B engines in their Model A use A heads & pumps. It is becoming harder to find places to make short runs of products that WE consider "affordably priced". Then, there's the question of overall quality. All things considered, we continue to be lucky to have the availability of many quality parts at those "affordable prices".

I am with Bob Bader on this. Try to find a new water pump for a 1930 car that is not a Model A.
