AA rearend swap
 

Recently got a 29 AA stake bed needing total restoration. The early 29 with the worm gear rear end. Will the 30-31 AA ring/pinion style bolt up to the 29 frame without any modification? I've heard some folks say these keep locking up or is that not possible? Just looking for your experience and or advice. Thanks

Refer to the Service Bulletins (page 421). The AA will then have two different wheel styles and wheel bolt nuts (aka lug nuts). A spare wheel will be an issue.



Locking up??? Never heard of such a problem.

I am not a truck guy, but have never heard of the lock up thing either.
