Canadian Model A battery, is it original production?

Once putting my want ad for a Canadian Model A battery on line there have been discussions on the style battery used in production. I have tried to help out by adding some further information to my ad. Since there had been so much interest I though I would share it here for others.

Some Canadian cases look different than most Model A batteries. Most A batteries have what looks like a partial frame with only two sides and the top. In this three sided frame there are vertical corrugation's going from the inside of the top frame to the bottom of the battery. It has the Ford oval with Made In U.S.A. or Made in Canada below.

On one style of Canadian battery, the frame is four sided (a complete frame) so the frame has a bottom. On this style the vertical Corrugation's stay within the frame and don't reach the bottom of the battery. It is still the same size battery with the Ford Oval and Made in Canada below.

To date, this was believed not to be an original Model A battery. At an event years back a fellow had one, and asked the judges opinion. Without having any of the supporting documentation, this style was deemed, not original Model A Production.

Since this time some proof has been gathered and in the Canadian Ford Service Bulletins, it clearly shows this battery. It is shown in a couple cut away pictures in the 1929 Canadian Service Bulletin on page 10. This will be considered in upcoming judging standard meetings.
