Original Brake Drum Thickness I removed a friend's front drums and would like to know if anyone knows the original thickness. They look to have been cut in the past, years ago. I will remove the hubs before they get sent out for new drums.
Thanks, Vic |

Thanks. Vic |
Re: Original Brake Drum Thickness Unless you know what you are doing I would leave removing the drums to the experts, Randy Gross comes to mind.

Re: Original Brake Drum Thickness Randy has the best prices on his drums and his hub swap out service is very reasonable. A person needs the fly cutter tool to cut the swage on the lug bolts prior to pressing things apart. After reassembly and swaging, the drums need to be trued up on a lathe. I've heard that Randy or his Dad had the drums machined a bit under size to accommodate truing of the drum. Whether this is still done or not I don't know. Randy also has a shoe fitting service for their new drums.
