Found a few items or fasteners I need help identifying. They where in a small parts bin in my dads stuff labeled as 34 truck. See pics.

The "technical" term would be a flat slot truss head shoulder bolt...In the industrial fastener world.....What we term as a "Dog".

Re: Fastener identification help

Years ago when I was a rookie in the old Ford hobby (although sometimes I still fall into that catagory), I also purchased many of those bags labeled with Rick's on them. Over the years I have found that the cotter pin assortment from Rick's was the only thing that you could consider correct.

My guess for your bag is headlight reflector retainer clips, but there should be 4 in the bag then.

Bruce,

Those are inserts for female door dovetails. If they were headlamp rim retainers they would have lips on the ends and be made of a different metal.

David,
Then that explains the size. Thank you.

Thanks Barners. The items identified are keepers than to use on my truck.

What about the twisted shaft tacks or nail looking items?

The firewall insulator bolts are rather hard to find. We make them new but pricey

Yep, bolts are pricey. $5.95 each but good thing is I only need 2. AND the firewall insulator pad IS pricey too. I think it was $300-400. Guess when I get to the point of interior I may be asking Barners or HAMB what alternative do I have.

The pack of nails from Ricks looks like what I bought from them as fasteners for nailing the metal to the wood frame work.
