30/31 Roadster bumper question I'm putting together a roadster. I want all original pieces ideally. Thinking about bumpers . I know the front one is 1 piece but were the rears always 2 piece? Not what I want . I'd rather a 1 piece. Did theyhave 1 piece rear bumpers ?

Re: 30/31 Roadster bumper question The DeLuxe came out about August of 30.They had one sidemount spare,so the one piece rear bumper. For 31 Ford went to the rear mounted spare on the DeLuxe roadster. Those used the two piece bumper.

Re: 30/31 Roadster bumper question Are delux bunpers out there to find or very rare? Thank you

Re: 30/31 Roadster bumper question Always thought that they were just a front bumper on the back.
Dont know that for sure though |
Re: 30/31 Roadster bumper question The Judging Standards state "On vehicles with full length bumpers front
and rear, they were the same length." |
Re: 30/31 Roadster bumper question Quote:
Close...per Marco, it was July. The 30 also came with a rear luggage rack. For 31, the price of the car was reduced by $45 but the sidemount, rack and bumper were available as an extra cost option. That implies Ford went to the rear spare because it was cheaper. |
Re: 30/31 Roadster bumper question Hello, as a side note Paint colors were also reduced to only 4 , Black, Washington Blue, Stone Brown, and Brewster Green.Brown interior and rumble seat still included, also the lower windshield and tan top .
