Back in the Game!!

After working for 43 years and surgeries I now am finally settled down In Ocala, FL. Life is no longer in the way and I bought a 1929 Roadster from a fellow who redid the mechanicals 4 years ago. I had a 31 Roadster 20 years ago or so. He is 85 and thinning the herd. He had all the paperwork to show the mechanical work like balance and blueprint the motor and flywheel clutch. He also drilled the crank for more oil. He also installed a Mitchell synchro transmission. My question is anyone on here from Ocala especially the SW section. I have no connections down here and I am looking for some original sheet metal like a hood and splash pans. Thanks, Jay

Re: Back in the Game!!

For sheet metal, try Sammy Guthrie in Phoenix, Arizona (Arizona Model A)
On another note, I have been told many times that drilling the crank of a Model A is a recipe for disaster. Sammy knows a LOT about Model As. Maybe you ask him about that too.

Jay, if you do not know Steve Ellis, he needs to be one of your first Model-A contacts. He is very connected with the Model-A hobby down there, and he is in the SW section over by the WalMart Market on 200. If you do not know Steve, feel free to PM me your phone number and I will make sure he calls you.

Re: Back in the Game!!

Thanks for the replies. It sounds like Mr. Ellis and I could be neighbors. The SW part of Ocala when I lived here 43 years ago were massive horse farms. It is still pretty country here. THX. Jay
