Part number question What would be a part number for the right hand window regulator on a ‘41 long door coupe.? What book would have body part numbers for my ‘41.
|
Re: Part number question The 1941-42 body parts book, may have what your looking for. In 40 Ford published the body parts book with the hardware section in the back of the body parts book. This part of the book does not show up in reproductions of the 39-40 body parts books. Typically Ford only published a hardware book every two years.
Window regulators can be repaired in most cases. |

The 1941 body parts catalog is the one you need.

Re: Part number question Making sure you know that the prefix on a Ford part # indicates the first thing it was used on. An 11A- prefix means the part was first used on a '41 Ford car. That prefix will stay the same as long as the part is used whatever it is used on. Need to replace the gas tank float on my '55 and will have to order from one of the old Ford parts houses. That float has a 68- prefix meaning it was first used on '36 Ford cars. The part was used on Ford cars as late as '77 and pickups as late as '96, still carrying the 68- prefix part number.

Re: Part number question Regulator Roy not sure if he retired. He would be the first place I'd check.
