Coil and Condenser Info

I have a stock 1936 engine and need to replace the condenser and coil. It's a 6 volt ground positive system with a remote coil unit. The coil says 505 and the condenser has no markings on it. Can anyone recommend a quality replacement coil and condenser? Looking for links, part numbers or brand recommendations, especially for the condenser which i have zero information on. Thank you!

For what reason do you require to replace the coil and condenser? Have you done some sort of testing on these items or are you just guessing that they are at fault. I would maybe try a new condenser but leave the coil alone because they give very little problems. Regards, Kevin.

Re: Coil and Condenser Info

Not sure what the issue is with your stock engine but I have a 1935 v8... and recently wired the ignition lead to the coil back thru the original resistor that is mounted on the firewall up under the dash. It has had the effect of my engine running stronger and smoother than before when I was by-passing the resistor. Just another consideration.
