Removal of rear tires from axle 1926

How are the rear rims removed from the axle on a 1926 touring? Do I need some type of puller like on an A?

If you are referring to the "wheel", yes you should - if it just pulls off, it wasn't on tight
enough ! If you meant "rims" - 4 rim nuts hold the rim to the wheel IF you have demountables - IF wire wheels like a Model A just the wheel nuts.

I am referring to removing the entire wheel/tire/wooden spokes as 1 unit, not removing the 4 nuts on the demountable.

So, I am still unclear. Does the wheel need a puller or should it just be able to be pulled off?

Yes, it needs a puller, but depending on if wood or wire wheels, dictates the type you need. Do a search of Ford Model T wheel puller. The wood wheel puller threads on the end of the hub using the hub cap thread.
