V8 60 Build Help

I'm restoring original 37 with 60. I plan on edelbrock heads and intake 2 81s. Looking for someone with experience building the 60 to go through this motor. Ran when I got the car. Took heads off has .30 over pistons looks like a recent rebuild when parked. Car sat 58 years in Montana barn. Anyone help me in the right direction. Prefer Midwest builder though if anyone knows of one. Can crate and ship if I have too. Any help appreciated Thanks Mike

You might try locating Rich Willim's son. He used to be on this forum. I think he was in the midwest. Rich wrote a V860 book.

I can and probably have every part you may need. I’m in Charlotte NC if you can’t find anyone closer. Good luck either way. Cheers. Tony

Re: V8 60 Build Help

Thanks Tony I appreciate it. I think it's an easy build but you never know. I already have most things rebuilt for the motor but need it internally done. I'm in the process of building an offset 60hp generator bracket to run the aftermarket multi-carb intakes. I'm going to run the Powermaster Powergen shorty. The alternator in the generator case.

Just let me know if I can help and what your timeframe is. Thanks.

Rich Willem is in Michigan. He's on Facebook. I'm in Oshkosh, Wi and would like to help, but I'm swamped with work.

Thanks I appreciate it. I'm hoping to start build in about 3 months.

Re: V8 60 Build Help

Unfortunately, Rich Willim passed away some years ago. His son Marty Willim posts on Facbook and is also quite knowledgeable on these little 60hp engines. He has been selling some of the parts his dad accumulated over the years.
The book on the 60hp engine that Rich Willim wrote is no longer being printed, but I see them coming up for sale on line occasionally. It's definitely worth owning if/when you find a copy.
