32 spring pad

Hoping to start assembling my 32 roadster soon, trying to get a jump on what I need, what are you guys using for the material that goes between springs and crossmember ?
Thanks

I'm probably wrong but I've done a lot of buggy spring chassis and I always mounted the spring metal to metal?

The original is the same as 1/8" thick body-to-frame webbing.

Dam, never to old to learn something. I never had the privilege of taking apart a virgin 32. All I ever had was parts, never built one that started as a complete car. I'll put a little webbing in my next chassis assembly.

Yep - exactly what I found on my 32 when I took it apart . . . and exactly what I put back in (with a little grease impregnated into it).
