I've bought mine from Bert's for years. No problems.

About 10 years ago, tubes were ALL crap but I think that when people complained enough and stopped buying them if they could, vendors got their act together. I think Brattons was the first to have them made again from virgin materials. Recycling is fine - in its place but not for tubes. Nowadays, I think all of the vendors have pretty good tubes.

Around November 2022 I bought four inner tubes from Brattons. The tube wrapper said made from 100% new rubber. They're still maintaining the 38 lbs inflation.

Tubes for radial tires are thicker and will hold up longer. They are better able to take the flexing of radial tires but are also stronger in bias ply tires.

I have some atlas tire tubes in the box. I believe these are 70 years old and the rubber looks great. I plan on trying them out this year.

Tubes should be stored partially inflated, if left folded they tend to crack at the corners where they're folded.
