10 gallons, but you will likely never get all 10 to flow out of it. Ford used to say 20 MPG, but if you get 18 you are doing good. More like 16.

Re: fuel tank question

We allow about 8 1/2 gallons but we used to use the imperial gallon. I have topped 30 mpg per imp gallon (24 mile per US gallon) in my phaeton, bringing verification to the saying "your figures may vary".
BTW, the 1929 Phaeton I drive has a tank of 9 US gallons, they say. That's nearly 35 litres. I have put 43 litres in it. I guess I was close to walking!

Re: fuel tank question

On a long trip I kept records of exact consumption, usually filling up every 200 miles, one time it was hard to find a open station went 260 miles, tank nearly 11 gallons to fill
The 3000 mile trip average was 23 mpg ,the speed I drove was over 50, many time over 60.
I don’t keep written track of it now, but 5 gallons gets around 100 miles local and parade driving
No overdrive,stock carb and head

Re: fuel tank question

all USA 1930-31 Model A have a 11 gallon tank, the 1928-29 tank is 10 U.S. gallons. I get around 16 mpg city, 18-20 mpg on long highway runs. (Your mileage may vary)
