PU Front bumper finish

I have see some 28-29 PUs which are restored with a black bumper and some (most) which have a chrome bumper. Which is correct?

Chrome.

Chrome is correct. Polished on the front face, and natural finish on the edges and rear face. Some people paint their bumpers as the cost of plating is expensive.

As others have posted, chrome is correct but paint is a lot cheaper. Also some AA have painted bumper which may be a source of confusion, although I think those are single bar.
