Re: Flathead powered Camaro This has been floating around internet for a few years. Possibly photoshopped.

Re: Flathead powered Camaro The first photo looks like an 8BA with 4 carbs. The second photo looks like a 59AB with 3 carbs. Perhaps he had different engines in the car at different times. As a Flathead enthusiast and a first gen Camaro owner, the thought has crossed my mind.

Re: Flathead powered Camaro A short time ago there was a flathead powered Falcon for sale in Ohio. It is real because a friend of mine saw it in the early 2000s. I think he & I also talked about the Camaro. He HATED Chevys & thought it was a waste of a flathead.

Re: Flathead powered Camaro Years ago I sold one of my T5 to Flathead kits to a man in Michigan who was putting a FH into a mid 60's Corvette. During one of the last shows that I had a booth at in Kalamazoo he brought by pictures of the completed car

Re: Flathead powered Camaro It’s real and the guys name was Clarence Elliot. He was a racer and engine builder from Oregon.

Re: Flathead powered Camaro I remembered the Flathead Corvette guy. His name was Harold Ely and he owned Windsor Fabrications. His company produced high quality fiberglass bodies in the 90's and early 2000's. Mostly 33/34 bodies.

Re: Flathead powered Camaro A long time ago I was doing a show in Post Falls Id & was parked next to a camaro that young fellow was putting a flatty in. He said he wanted to be different. He voiced a concern about Camaro people being PO'd. The car was camaro orange at the time. He had the hood open too.

Re: Flathead powered Camaro I'd seen this years ago and wondered about the veracity of this. If this is the case the guys an "idiot." A 396 gen 1 Camaro value?....heaps. With a flat head?..a novelty.

Re: Flathead powered Camaro Quite a few years ago Tom Senter had a flathead powered Camaro. The car was featured on the cover, and in an article in Popular Hot Rodding Magazine. IIRC the engine is now owned by Dave Simard, I saw it sitting on the bench in his garage.
