What’s your favorite polishing compound I need to polish out a few scratches on 3 vehicles, my ‘41 and two newer vehicles (2010,2012). I remember my dad having a can of rubbing compound in his garage, but I not looking for anything that aggressive. What works for you?

Re: What’s your favorite polishing compound Try Meguiar's Ultimate Compound or Meguiar's combination of polish and wax.

Re: What’s your favorite polishing compound I've been using the white compound for years. I've even used in on plexiglass enclosures along with Micro Mesh and jeweler's rouge. It's a turtle wax product. They also have a liquid compound but I prefer the white paste.

Re: What’s your favorite polishing compound Meguiar's #7. It works on finer things. It is not a wax though.

Re: What’s your favorite polishing compound I am for Meguires, recommended by my model a painter. Have clearcoat on my Kewanee Green coupe, have used it on minor fender scratches, works great. I think there are several grades of this product, mine is in a beige plastic squeeze container, number 2 fine cut cleaner.

Re: What’s your favorite polishing compound I still like using the Griots products for my over the road vehicles, I like their whole systematic approach. But I've always used Collinites for my boat. Collinite is an old family owned business in upstate NY. same vintage as these Early V8 cars and trucks. est. 1936. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either one.

Re: What’s your favorite polishing compound I have been using Mothers metal polish as a supper fine polish for painted and and plastic as well for about thirty five years now. I follow up with McGuire's cleaner and then carnuba wax . It will have people asking who detailed your car or where did you get the new plastic light lenses or other plastic parts. Tim

Re: What’s your favorite polishing compound The only one I have used for years is Turtle Rubbing Compound which is a paste of fine abrasive. Works great to shine up the old paint on the 52 Merc. Might take out some of the scratches too but there are some that are way beyond that point. I don't know if its the best but its all I've ever used and I keep going back for more.
