Let's talk rear bumpers Just out of curiosity, was a full length rear bumper an option on any Model As? I've seen both split bumpers on each side and full length on variousA-s. I've often wondered if people are mounting front bumpers on the back.

Re: Let's talk rear bumpers As near as I know, my 31 Deluxe Roadster came with dual fender-mount spares, with full bumpers on the back. I can only assume it came that way, as I only have knowledge of it from the 70's and the little old lady that owned it wasn't really the type to modify her ride.

Re: Let's talk rear bumpers I think any dealer for the sake of a sale would option your car the way you requested. I doubt there would be corporate dissent.

Full length rear bumper was standard on 30 Deluxe Roadster, as was luggage rack and left front fender mount spare. For 31, the spare was rear mounted and the full bumper and luggage rack went away. However, they could be special ordered at extra cost. So yes, a full length rear bumper was optional on that model. I think the full bumper also was standard on the Deluxe Phaeton and the Convertible Sedan. And as J Franklin said, I expect a dealer would install one. |

Re: Let's talk rear bumpers Great, thank all. 1 last question, is the single long rear bumper that same front bumper mounted in the rear?

Re: Let's talk rear bumpers Yes.
