V-8 clutch adjustment

Does anyone in the Model A kingdom have a documented procedure about how to adjust the fingers on a V-8 clutch pressure plate installed in a Model A with a modified flywheel?

My grandson's 1930 Tudor has such an animal installed and the problem is the clutch engages at the very top of the pedal stroke, it needs to be brought down more to the middle of the stroke. I have no idea how to do it.

I know how to adjust the fingers on a Model A flywheel, see attached.

Help would be appreciated.

Wouldn't that be done by adjusting the length of the link between the top shaft and the lower one?

yes, it is in the ford clutch and transmission book printed in the 40s, it could also be a cushion spring in the disc issue too
which V8 disc and pressure plate are you using

It starts with the thickness of the plate itself to determine the shims to correct lever geometry

for some of the same style pressure plate assembly the finger dimensions are from the hub of the disc to the fingers , it can be confusing, and may not be reliable if not exactly a original design disc.
sometimes when the clutch is slipped a lot starting off the disc wears unevenly, more at the outside where the cushion springs underneath the lining spread the disc a little more.
The original solid hub disc used in V8 (same as original A) was coned some to preform this function.
When this cushion is not enough the engagement is more of a on- off close to the top of travel
