Fan Belt Specifications

The fan belt I run is a B40 0396. What does this number mean? I went digging and found this interesting site:

A B40 is a 43” belt approx. 5/8” wide. One way to remember is B + 3” = true length. An “A” belt is A + 2”= true length.
