carb question

got my banjo parts back from Charlie NY (Thank you). I had enclosed a small needle with the parts. It was returned. Have no idea where it came from and if needed. is so, where/how does it go?? Or just deep six it??

A lot more of an explanation would be nice. What does a banjo have to do with a Carb? What Carb? How about a photo.
