Old Model A rear hub puller

I’ve had this for years & didn’t know what it was until I started working on Model A’s. Don’t know what brand it is but works excellent. I have pulled off some very rusty & stuck hubs.

If you have a Model A you need a tool to pull the rear hub-drum. Old ones are nice.

The old pullers are nice but a new Universal Hub Puller is a lot better.

I’ll have to disagree on this. All this new stuff is made with cheaper weaker metal & bolts. I probably would have broke the Snyder one pulling some of the hubs that my trusty old one has.

I bought a new tie rod adjusting tool & it broke real easy. Currently looking for a old one somewhere.

I’d disagree with your assessment. As a person who owns this tool, and having used it extensively, it has pulled every drum I’ve used it on. This tool is actually made by Mitchell Manufacturing, the same company that makes the overdrive. It’s well made, and made in the US.

I made my own ball joint tool years ago and at that price, it looks like I will be making my own hub puller so that I have a decent one. The one I have now bends out of shape when I put any decent pressure on it. US made.

Mine works on the same principle but is not identical. I will be making mine similar to the Mitchell unit.

I could be wrong since I don't own or have never used the Mitchell tool. If it is a good American made product I stand to be corrected. I just know by experience that a lot of these new tools are junk such as the new Craftsman tools. They old ones are good but the new ones are junk. Did you see my "new" tie rod end tool. It was a joke.

Not sure but that looks like a drag link socket.
