Removing steel sleeves

What is the easiest way to remove steel sleeves from a 99-T block, I recall reading .080 pistons can be installed once the sleeves are removed-?

I just did that , ran 4 or 5 mig beads quickly inside the sleeves, took a sharp pin an drove it under the bottom edge enough to be able to lift the sleeve then used a heavy hammer and brass drift on the up turned edge and drove them out.
Took longer to type this than to do it.

I wouldn't buy anything until the bores are checked out and the machinist knows how far out you need to go to get them round.

Excellent advice! I just took a set of the thin sleeves out and used a chisel designed for exhaust pipe removal. I modified it a little and didn't use the air hammer but a regular hammer for more control. It worked like a charm.
