Clutch Disc Dimension

In researching for information on replacing the clutch plate and pressure plate I see multiple references to the original clutch plate as having a thickness of 0.340 inches.

I have two new US made clutch plates that were likely manufactured back in the 70's or 80's. One is 0.380 inches thick and the other is 0.410 inches in thickness. Any thoughts about this are appreciated.

P.S. I have had the flywheel resurfaced, and the 1.123 inches of depth below the mounting surface on the rim was maintained.

OK to use either one BUT after bolting the pressure plate to the flywheel (with disc installed) re-adjust the fingers. FWIW

One may have a wave spring in the center.

So that's it! Now I see that there is a wave spring between the two friction plates that appears to flatten out under pressure so, with the pressure plate bolted down, the total thickness should be close to the stock Ford dimension. The original design clutch plate - no springs, just riveted friction plates - was kind of primitive compared to a more modern assembly.
