Relocation (again) "The mountains are calling and I must go." -John Muir
After 3 years of exile in the flatlands, we have moved back to the mountains where we belong. Just a heads-up for the small number of Barners who might care....... |
Re: Relocation (again) Good thing I took that muffler and radius rod off your hands, less stuff to move.

Re: Relocation (again) Congratulations!!! on your move,!

Re: Relocation (again) Some of the most beautiful country in the U.S. is in the Spruce Pine, N.C. area.
I built and had a log cabin in the Linville Falls community. |
Re: Relocation (again) We visited by chance John Muir’s birth place (home ) in Scotland, set up as a museum, what a great man and life story.

Re: Relocation (again) Best to you and Alice in your new home!

Re: Relocation (again) I'll take flatlands any day, I hate mountains, very few straight roads, just winding, twisting, up and down, back and forth, yuk. To me they're just big rocks that block the view. I've seen enough mountains to last me 3 lifetimes.

Re: Relocation (again) Take your Model A on the Blue Ridge Parkway. That will change your mind. Especially in October

Re: Relocation (again) Nice move,!!
Years ago we moved from WNC (Mills River) to Delaware.. That WNC magnetism I don't think will ever leave, just a beautiful part of the state, the parkway does offer a scenic drive in Spring and Fall.! Just an opinion, kb |
Re: Relocation (again) WV Mountains make a model a mechanic… 9% plus grades, switchback two lane roads force you to tune regularly.. brakes, engine you name it..keep the rpm in the sweet spot they pull hard..

I actually know of a couple of Model A people that were in the Spruce Pine / Plum Tree / Grassy Creek areas. You are about an hour to the East TN Model-A club area if you decide to do a few functions with them. They have a couple of members that travel from Boone and Mountain City area to participate, so definitely not a stretch for you. You are about an hour from me now if you are out 'loafing' and want to drop by. |
Re: Relocation (again) I'm always interested when an owner of a classic vehicle tells me he's moving ... !
Gotten a couple of nice cars and bikes that way when there's no room in the new place .... ! :D Lannis |
Re: Relocation (again) We live in Fletcher, NC....about a mile from the AVL airport. Always looking for someone to share info and stories with...

Re: Relocation (again) Welcome back to the “Old North State”. I’m in Lexington and you’re more than welcome to join with us in any of our events with the “Piedmont Region” of the MARC. I’m heading to Old Fort next week to look at a car. That is just south of you I believe.
