Jaeger Clock I have a very nice Jaeger clock for the glove compartment door which came with my 35 convertible sedan. I'm trying to figure out how Ford would have arranged
the wiring in the glove box. Because there needs to be a certain amount of slack in the wiring in order for the door to be opened and closed where does the wiring enter the box on its way to the clock? If someone has an original setup I'd love to see a picture or two. |
Re: Jaeger Clock Original installation instructions I have are for the Borg electric clock. They are a bit vague about how to run the cable through the glove box wall and what exact location the hole is. I think I still have your email address and I can send you a copy of the instructions. Do you have a good wire harness with the in-line fuse? How about the 2 to 1 electrical connector for the light wire to the dash light switch?

Re: Jaeger Clock 3 Attachment(s)
Here are some images that might help. Diagram and instructions are from booklet Terry is sending you.

Re: Jaeger Clock Since the info I was going to send (for the Borg clock) is now posted clearly above, let me add the wiring harness should have a small metal in-line fuse holder for a 1AG (physical fuse size) with an electrical rating of 3.0 Amp. on the yellow/black wire and there was originally a 2 to 1 wiring adapter connector which is usually lost, that connects to the dash light switch (with one male bullet) and allows two male bullet connectors to plug into the adapter.
The instructions do not say where the hole in the cardboard glove box should be located, but I agree with the photos above. I have gotten metal in-line fuse holders, for the Ford radios, from Narragansett wiring and they may have the adapter also. |
Re: Jaeger Clock Thanks for your responses, especially the picture and wiring info. Another great reason for
being a Ford Barn member. Peter |
