Hey everyone first thanks for the add second I am new to the ford model t
I have a 27 I saved form being junked has not run since early 80s
I pulled the head a freed all the valves
My question is when number 1 cylinder is at tdc should the rotor point to the number one cyl like a small block Chevy

Re: Timing help

Do you have the original style commutator and vibrator coil ignition, or has it been replaced with a distributor?

Re: Timing help

TDC compression stroke will be where it's timed to #1 rotor/cap position and the rest of the terminals will be in firing order for direction of rotation.

Half the fun of the T is in the buzzing trembler coils and the timer. That system always makes younger folks scratch their heads.

Yes I read the replies on fb was looking for other opinions.
Would like to return it to stock at some point but want to get it running to see if their are any other problems before sinking a ton of money into it

Like I said there and will repeat here, would also help to know what brand of distributor you have. There were many different brands and some were setup a little different.
