4-bangers & me I occasionally receive a book order from a post that was posted in 2013. I still have books but they have been changed several times, added chapters, color photos, etc. They are now $34 mailed here in the States, $43 to most overseas countries. e-mail [email protected] for info. Thanks, Jim B

Re: 4-bangers & me Jim’s book is great reading even if you don’t plan to soup up your engine.

Re: 4-bangers & me I have at least 2 versions of his book. Great read!

Re: 4-bangers & me Jim's books are great, lots of information and some history of the modern performance pioneers.

Re: 4-bangers & me I was a teenager in the 50’s. We “souped up” our Fords.

Re: 4-bangers & me Our “ancient times” were great. We had three inactive WWII B29 bases within 60 miles of our local B29 base that we were able to use for monthly drag races. I was at the first NHRA National Drag Race. That’s why I was inspired by Jim’s book.

There were many War 2 bases we raced on after that one. There most likely won't be any people or cars to race after the next one...lol |
Re: 4-bangers & me Probably the fastest growing segment of the model A hobby is bangers and Jim’s work is a big part of it.

Re: 4-bangers & me Thanks guys, for all the good words! Believe it or don't, I ran for top eliminator one day at the San Fernando strip, me, 2 bikes and a coupe of some sort. I was the slowest of the group so of course lost, but it was still fun! With a lot of help from friends, we plan on running my Cook in the 4 ever 4 Club's lakester at Bonneville in August.
