Anyone have an old speedo cable for '28-29 they'd be willing to part with?

Hi All:

I have kind of an odd request. I have a rebuilt speedo for my '28 roadster that worked for 2 miles and then quit. I bought it at a swap meet "rebuilt" so I don't know who did the work and can't send it back to them.

I obviously need to take it out, but I'd like a piece of speedo cable that goes into the head unit to be able to spin it out of the car and on my bench. I'd rather not cut up my new one.

Does anyone have an old speedo cable that I could purchase from them?

Please send me a message if you can help.

Thanks,

Tim

Take a large nail, cut the head off, file it square to fit the speedo & whirl away. You have to run the drill in reverse.

Speaking of speedometers, who in Texas is doing a fine job of rebuilding speedometers for Model A's? Thank you.
