Detached wire, running, but no headlights, turn signals or horn 1928 Ford Model A Tutor, car runs fine but headlights, turn signal, stop lights, break lights, and parking lights all out, I found a wire that looks like it should be connected somewhere but not sure where, or what the wire is used for, it’s part of the electrical harness https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EJX...w?usp=drivesdk

Re: Detached wire, running, but no headlights, turn signals or horn Connect that wire along with the other yellow wire at the generator cut off. It is the wire that powers everything but the running of the engine.

Re: Detached wire, running, but no headlights, turn signals or horn The fix worked perfectly, thank you for you help, much appreciated.

Re: Detached wire, running, but no headlights, turn signals or horn I guess the only concern would be if the wire was removed for some reason, like a short somewhere.

Re: Detached wire, running, but no headlights, turn signals or horn Yes, there is another reason. It was time to rebuild the generator and this wire was in my way, so I disconnected this wire from the cutout and tucked it under the frame rail (out of sight). After rebuilding the generator, I set off for a short tour and found nothing worked, just like James experienced. It took some time to wake up and go looking for that wire to fix the problem. Ed
