Henrys Hat What was the style called -- his hat.
Tks |
Re: Henrys Hat He's not usually depicted wearing a hat. In some early photos, he's wearing a derby hat (aka bowler hat in the UK).

Re: Henrys Hat Henry wore hats that fit the times he lived in and the weather likely played a part as well.
The Boater and Bowler hats would have been in the time that they were popular. He wore the boater when he was out at the farm in the summer months. The bowler was likely worn in cooler months of the year. Those types sort of gave way to the Fedora and Homburg types in the later years of his life. |
Re: Henrys Hat My great aunt Mattie was a Pattern Habadasher.. she would make a hat and patterns from a designers concept drawing. She was a top hand in a man’s world, 20’s and 30’s NYC..

Re: Henrys Hat Hat in the Ring was the symbol for the 94th Aero Squadron of WWI which Rickenbacker was a member - and one of three Aces.
