Were interior fold down sun visors ever an after market accessory for the model A ? if so are they still available or does anyone have a picture of one ? Right hand drive preferred

all slant screen A,s had interior fold down sun visors , We did a batch for dealers.

My total guess….not knowledge!!
There were so many aftermarket parts/accessories produced by Sears, Western Auto, Montgomery Ward and others, I’d bet they were out there in
“The day”.
But I’ve never seen any nor seen evidence of such and I’ve been thru a lot of cars. As said only on slants.

Most model A cars already had a visor. The slant windshield were the first ones to delete the visor on the outside. The some 1932 cars had a visor on the inside for the driver but was a basic piece of texture masonite. Nothing fancy for sure.

Based on literature , factory photos, and original cars, the slant window models were the ones to offer factory interior visors because there was no outside visor. The victoria and the other deluxe slant windows had them, some with only the drivers side and some with both sides. The fabric usually matched the headliner. There were wood blocks installed between the bows to receive the plated bracket screws. Chrome plated repros were available some years back that were nicely made; the current repros may need some detail attention as per the photos, though most of the bracket finish is hidden when the visor is closed against the headliner. United Pacific Industries may still offer a visor with very nice chrome bracket that attaches to the interior header above the windshield to replicate the 1932 models., though it could interfere with the inside wiper.

My car has an aftermarket sun visor that pivots and rotates. When I restore the car and put a new header in I will reinstall it.

Werner- Roadsters did not have sun visors external or internal. Only 1931 Twon Sedans and Vicotria's had them. And there was a mix there depending on when the car was assembled.

My Tudor has the 100% stock outside visor above the windshield. I find it absolutely worthless when driving into the sunlight. I can see why folks would be interested in an aftermarket solution. That being said, I restored the car to look original, so I doubt I would put one on.

My '31 town sedan slant did not have visors when I got it, but then again it didn't have any interior to speak of either

But I was convinced that some roadster drivers might have built their own sun visors.

A good reason for me now, to rebuild it like the one in No. 4 from stainless steel.

The header protrudes enough over the wind shield on an open car to act as bit of an external visor.

My take…..
The wooden header protrudes about the same as the metal visor on a closed car.
I think I’d just get a strong pair of sun glasses.
To me, what your contemplating sounds overwhelming
