Brake Linings Too Long? 3 Attachment(s)
Ordered molded linings from Snyder’s. There is about 1/16” overhang on one end of the brake show and 1/8”-3/16” on the other. Is this normal? Can I install them like this or trim them down? The woven linings I removed were flush with the edge of the shoes.

Re: Brake Linings Too Long? If there is no interference with anything when installed I wouldn't worry.

Re: Brake Linings Too Long? My only concern is the edge folding over from being compressed and it possibly breaking off

Re: Brake Linings Too Long? What could cause the edge to fold? There shouldn't be anything to push on it.

Re: Brake Linings Too Long? no big deal, grind them down and bevel the ends

Re: Brake Linings Too Long? Contact/ask Snyder’s.

Re: Brake Linings Too Long? Well, you at least have more braking surface. Why worry?

Re: Brake Linings Too Long? 2 Attachment(s)
Spoke to Snyder’s and they said it shouldn’t be a concern so I installed them as is with the overhang installed on the “trailing” side when going forward.
