Windshield glass with triplex logo

Help needed,

Where can I buy a windshield glass for a Deluxe Roadster with the correct Triplex logo?

Sanders Glass on your coast used to be able to provide it.
No one has exact logo as it was in the safety laminate. All logo or “bugs” are now etched on the exterior of the glass

Check out Third Gen Automotive at

www.thirdgenauto.com

They sell kits to etch your own glass with the logo. They sell several different ones, and Model A and early V8 parts.

Good people to do business with.

www.mikes-affordable.com

also sells them

I just bought a Deluxe Roadster windshield from Thirdgenauto last month based on a recommendation on a previous Thread. I got it within a week or so.

Re: Windshield glass with triplex logo

Would a recently etched "bug" that had the correct info, per the RG/JS, mean that the car will have to have points deducted automatically -- since the logo was not part of the laminate inside the two sheets of glass????
I'm not planning on competing in "fine point ", but I will be replacing all the glass in my A this year and I would like to have the "bug" for as much accuracy as feasible. Does "fine point" judging actually mark down for an accurate image of the appropriate "bug" simply because it was etched into the surface and not actually inside the two sheets of glass? Thanks for your help.

Re: Windshield glass with triplex logo

Suggest looking into stencil making such as the Ikonart system with paint screeded on. The Logos are in the Judging Stds as mentioned, One needs an Ikonart light source to create the vinyl stencil. Another option is to have a vinyl stencil made and use Armor Etch acid creme on the glass to get the frosted appearance. Would be much easier with glass on flat surface due to the rinse cycle..
The Ikon art system perhaps could be used for painting no's on license plates using the original plates to create a printable stencil image.
