36 EB on a 37 Transmission 5 Attachment(s)
On DD’s suggestion I fabricated a bracket for my 36 emergency brake on the 37 transmission. Using the 37 and later transmission mount and transmission does not have a provision for the 36 mount. I have to finish and paint the mount but I’m happy with the location and it feels nice and solid. It comes up through the floor in the stock location. I’ll post a finished picture later.
You can see my temporary none adjustable clutch rod that until I fabricated until I find a 39 clutch arm in the background. I have 3 main items and lots of small ones left on the list, patch pin holes in the gas tank, run a gas line, oil lines for the oil filter and install my nos radiator ( still a lot of figuring to be done on that one). Then I will have a running moving chassis and I can get the body in the shop. |
Re: 36 EB on a 37 Transmission That'll work. Nice job.

A couple of reasons I didn’t have a usable 36 transmission mount. I did have a 37 frame mounts plus the transmission mounts. Figured the 37 was an up grade over the 36. I have time and less money. That always seems to be the way when you work no time, not working lots of time. A 55$ bearing retainer is over a 100$ cad by the time it gets here. I could have gone with a under the dash lever but this was more fun. I line my own brake linings because I can. I have a nice welder so any excuse to use it is go by good. I’m real happy with the results because when a ford guru looks in the window he will see a original 36 eb. Lots of time and no money spent doing what gives me satisfaction. Doesn’t take much to make me happy lol. |
