How much fluid in 36 toploader
 

Just had a 1936 toploader rebuilt by my uncle. I know i need to put in GL1 Per something i read form Mac Vanpelt. How much though? I cant seem to find this written

Anything with a fill plug on the side determines the correct fill level. That goes for the tranny, shocks, and diff.
Think of trying to chug a beer with your mouth wide open and facing straight ahead.

I just filled mine with the top off I poured in a litre and that might have been a little extra.
1liter = 1.05 is qt approximately

For convince I take the lever out and pour in from there rather than fool with hose on squirt bottle
