1946 Speedometer issue Recently purchased a 1946 Ford Super Deluxe convertible restomod. Has a 350 Chevy engine with a TH3 Chevy transmission. Trying to hook up to the original Ford speedometer. Any ideas on how to do this - adapter, etc?

Re: 1946 Speedometer issue The speedometer end of the cable will need a male threaded end then whatever the transmission takes on that end.

Re: 1946 Speedometer issue As Ken/Alabama said, you will need to have a speedo cable made to adapt to the Bowtie automatic. Check with transmission shops or speedometer repair shops in your area or on the web.

Re: 1946 Speedometer issue check with Lokar. they usually have complete cables that have stock Ford speedo ends (11/16" male I believe) and correct end for your trans.

Re: 1946 Speedometer issue Get a hold of Rusty at Speedometer Service in Colorado Springs. He made a cable for the AOD in my '54 Ranch Wagon. Great price, good quality, and fast turn around. He also sold me a NOS speedo head for the Ranch Wagon. Good guy to deal with. Knows his stuff.
