Identify this truck?

I found this old photo recently that was taken while my father was in the Civilian Conseravtion Corp. It's not a very good shot of the truck but I would like to know what it is. Can anyone tell? Thanks in advance.

The trucks of the 1920's/30's were all very generic with many of them sharing similar bodies, therefore, without better definition/detail in the picture, it is very difficult to identify the vehicle. I can tell you one thing, the location of the spare tire on the front fender would render the drivers door impossible to open.

I thought the same thing about the location of the spare but I also thought that might help identify what it is, maybe?

Spare on the driver's side would be a pain in the butt. Unless this picture is a right hand drive truck?
I don't have a clue what make it is?

Chris

I think early 30's Chevy. If you look closely at the spare you can see it has a lot of lug holes and chevy was the only truck I could find that has 10 lug bolts. Also the door handle looks similar.

Bob C I think you hit the nail on the head. Sure looks like an Early 30's Chevy. And Chris you are right, that spare mount had to be a real pain as far as getting in and out of the cab.

It looks like the driver is just getting in or just getting out with the door partially open.

If it was a CCC truck, it was most likely the cheapest the Gov't could buy. I noticed that the back end of the running board extends just a bit farther on the Chevy but I don't know if that helps identify the truck.

Re: Identify this truck?

I think GMC because of the driver side spare. You can open the door farther then it looks in possible in this photo. The driver side spare was optional on GMC. The ribbed belt line is also a dead ringer for GMC as well. Tim

1933 GMC is my final answer. Tim
