Steering Column Dash Bracket

I have a '28 RPU and it's dang tight in there (I guess the RPU is the tightest of them all). I could add some much needed space if I could raise the steering column up tight against the bottom of the dash (I did this in my '48 Willys and it really helped). Does anybody know of a bracket that will do this? I see brackets to lower it but nothing to raise it. I can't be the only person to have wanted to do this. The fact that it is attaching right against the bottom of the gas tank prevents much freelancing. I probably should mention that my fabrication skills and tools are limited.

Not to mention that the steering box is bolted to the frame. There was an era steering wheel known as the "fat Bob" that may have been a smaller diameter. Or maybe I have it confused with a motorcycle.
Correction, fat man steering wheel was listed in the forsale section. John Tumolo listed it in November.

I don't think it is as simple as a different bracket. As B Bob said, the steering column is bolted to the frame. You can't just lift on end of it without modifying the other. Even then, there is not much lift to be had. Another option for you might be to remove some of the padding from the back rest part of the seat.
Without wanting to be rude, why is it so tight in there? Are you tall or over weight? I stand 6 feet tall and weigh about 180 pounds (I had to convert that) and have NO trouble in any of my As.

I believe I read a post where someone tied their seat springs down a bit and recovered the seat.
