Have a SKIP in Number 3 Cylinder when running #3 Cylinder has a Skip when running. I changed plugs. Still have a Skip No water in The Oil, and No Oil in the water. Any suggestions on what might Be the skip when engine is running Thanks, HS

Re: Have a SKIP in Number 3 Cylinder when running HS, are you POSITIVE you have spark to the plug? If you create a short gap between distributor wire and the plug, do you see sparks jumping between them as the engine runs? If not, I'd suspect your distributor.....
Good Luck. |
Re: Have a SKIP in Number 3 Cylinder when running I would look at the distributor body first. Make sure you have continuity between the inside contact and the plug wire post on the outside of the body.

Re: Have a SKIP in Number 3 Cylinder when running It may have a sticky valve on #3. Try running some Marvel Mystery Oil in the fuel. Nothing better to dissolve carbon or crud.

Thanks to all, Hugh |
Re: Have a SKIP in Number 3 Cylinder when running Lift the plug straps a quarter inch and watch the spark jump when its running. You'll be able to see if its erratic. Works best if its low light, easier to see.
