34 floor mat

Hi folks, got my new front floor mat and plan to install it soon. Can anyone tell me does the separate peace over the shifter go under or over? Also there is no cut out for the batterie so I assume you have to lift the mat for access? Thanks so much. Ken

The center piece goes on first (under the floor mat) and yes, you have to lift the mat to access the battery.
