47-48 interior trim

I am hoping to reuse the trim pieces for the rear kick panels in my 47 coupe. My main concern is that the, not sure of the technical name, tacks on the back are pretty rusted, and some are bent in different directions. Are these replaceable, how do they attach to the panel?

When new the nails are straight and after installing in the dedicated holes they are just simply bent over to secure.

So do they go through whatever is being used for the backing board and bent around that?

Yes, thru pre-installed holes in the upholstery and backer board and folded over.

I call them "spears". Mine were pretty munted. I got a bloke to take the dents out and polish them but haven't installed them yet as the side panel they go on are a bastard to get out as is the seat to get at it, but they do look neat.
