1952 Ford F1 Door Glass Install

I'm in the process of reinstalling the glass in my doors. I thought I had purchased everything to complete this task but I am stumped by one thing. I don't have anything to put in the channel on the division bar opposite the vent window. I purchased from LMC and they don't seem to sell any weather stripping to fit in that channel. Anyone know what's supposed to go there for the window to slide through? If I remember correctly there was nothing in there when I got the truck.

It's 7C-8122296/97
Yeah, there's definitely soft material inside that channel in the factory parts.

Undoubtedly other vendors have just the seals too, and I found these online
pretty quickly......

Thanks for the responses. Gick70, I've enjoyed and found the videos put out by Penny's Hot Rods and Customs 1952 Ford Truck to be very helpful. 1948F-1Pickup, #7C-8122296/97 are the complete division bars which are expensive and I'm not replacing. I did some more research. What I'm looking for is the weather strip on the inside of the division bar that the window slides in. This material is called "glass run channel" and it comes in various sizes. One or both of my division bars are replacements as they are different sizes and construction. The right is a 3/8" steel channel covered on the top half with polished stainless. The left is 1/2" all stainless channel. I could not find any glass run channel locally but did find a 5 ft. piece of 3/8" glass run channel on Amazon which I bought. I'm 3D printing an insert to reduce the 1/2" channel to 3/8". I'm confident that this will work but will find out next week when the stuff arrives. One added complication I discovered is that modern auto glass is thinner than the old stuff and the glass run channel is made for modern vehicles except for stuff specifically made for old car restoration. The window glass on the F1 is 13/64" and modern glass is 5/32. Earlier vehicles were 1/4". However the stuff I ordered is supposed to be good for up to 7/32" so I should be alright.

Your "quest" is already handled......
See the second half of my response.
The wearing part of those channels (the seal portion) is available through
at least two suppliers.

AND

These might not work if your division bar is non-"stock"....... as it apparently is on
the one side.

I have the vent window seals. There isn't much information offered on the run such as width. It looks like these have to be riveted on just like the vent window seals I bought. I printed and installed the inserts today and put the new vent window glass in its frame. I'm just waiting for the run I ordered and then I can get the door windows finished.

Agreed, I'm not this ready to work on the window seals yet but this will be very useful when I am. Thanks

I finally got my second order of a five foot piece of 3/8" glass run channel from Amazon. Evidently the first order got lost and was refunded. I lucked out because the price dropped from $40 to $32. I got one window installed today. It's a bit tight but will work and hopefully will get looser with time.. The other one with the 3D printed inserts turned out to be just under 3/8" and was too tight. I removed one side of the insert making the channel 7/16" and this seems to work fine. My glass is 15/64" thick and the run is supposed to be good for up to 7/32" so I'm a bit over.
