Very sad. I contacted him a couple years ago to see if he was still selling HC heads or would re-start his business. He was very kind in regard to my beginners questions. He provided a lot of information over the years.

RIP Larry......Back in 2006, I was thinking of purchasing one of his HC heads, I but couldn't decide on which CR was best. He spent quite a bit of time on the phone with me explaining everything. I ended up buying his 5.9 head. To say the least, he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We lost a true Model A icon..........

Sad to see him go, I always enjoyed talking to him. Opinionated, yes. A little crusty at times, yes. But I have found the folks with the talent are just that way. A bit of a generalization, of course, but I sure respected him and he helped me a lot. Sad to lose such an asset to the hobby.

Here is some very valuable info about spark plugs from Larry: https://www.fordgarage.com/pages/bru...kplugnotes.htm

I referenced this on another thread were there was a discussion about plugs. It is an example of Larry's knowledge.

Sad for his family.

I spoke to Larry about one of his heads, mailed him a check and waited…..and waited….and waited….and waited. I spoke to him a few times to check on progress. After about 4 years, I received my check back with a note that he decided not to make any more heads.
