Prior Christmas I placed a "wanted to buy 39 Coupe" in Ford Barn.
Was contacted by KIWinUS with a possible lead on a 39 deluxe Coupe.
Tony knew of this car and kindly leased between owner to the point where a deal was made for this car. Car has now been picked up from owner and now on way to New Jersey whee it will be shipped Down Under to little old NZ.
Sorry about this guys but it was an opportunity to secure an original car with only 29000 miles on it.
One owner a lady who passed at 92 years. Then purchased by a collector who had this car in a museum from 2003 till 2022 at my purchase.
Pictures provided top side and underneath as well as being totally endorsed by
Tony who knows this car confirmed this opportunity could not be passed up.
As time passes shoulda, woulda, coulda, just do it.

The following description pertaining to this car.

1939 Ford Deluxe Coupe.

Only 29k actual miles. Purchased from the estate of a 92 year old lady.
Completely original including engine, driveline, paint, interior, chrome, and spare tyre. Still has two oil change stickers in door jamb one at 16k and the other at 27k miles in 1965.

I encloses some pics of car. It was started up and driven onto transporter for shipping. Now the long wait for shipping to NZ.Attachment 482008

Yep its a runner. Fuel drained from tank prior shifting out from museum.
It started right up. Then driven approx 1/4 mile to storage prior pickup loading.
Driven onto transporter by owner.

Owner has then posted start up and gear shift instructions diagrams on dash.

Precisely.. Only original once!! Just to have it certified on arrival in NZ for use on roads. Clean body etc will certainly help for a smooth process.
Feel very lucky with this one. It came together rather quickly over Christmas New Year period.

That is just one awesome car!! It is especially satisfying to see it put into the hands of a person who appreciates what it is.

Phil, I wish I had seen this before I answered your email this morning.

That car is unbelievable! I have had some "low-milers", but nothing near this!

Wow, that is an amazing find!

I have to admit that at first I was not very happy that so many vintage American cars were being bought and sold out of the country. But after seeing the car culture and and how they are taken care of and appreciated I think it is a good thing.

Congratulations! Interesting to see that Henry Ford did not paint the underside with body color or black, just red oxide primer. I recall that was discussed on Fordbarn in the past.
